The MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) between the SSN and the NCAA regarding airspace utilisation for 2025/26 will be presented here. It is valid from 29th Oktober 2025.
The most important aspects are:
- The airspace to the North of the Windhoek TMA up to FL 195 has now been corrected. It is more extensive than before (2024/25)
- The Transponder Mandatory Zones (TMZ’s) have been done away with. All gliders must now keep transponders activated during flights
This is much more streamlined and practical.
